Newly designed and built in 2019, this garden was designed to make maximum use of the space. The brief was for a multifunctional low-maintenance space, as our clients spend six months abroad at a time. The lawn was removed to align with the brief and raised large timber planters provide planting pockets that furnish the space with Birch trees and structural topiary.
The planting creates shadow and movement with scented rosemary and long flowering daisies. A natural stone water feature creates sound and a calm feel to enjoy on long summer days. We included a hidden sunken firepit within a terrace space so that when out of use the space is maximised for drinks and lounging.
A bespoke lighting plan using Hunza fittings was installed to create nighttime ambiance all year long with downlights positioned onto statement plants and pots. Cedar trellis installed on the boundaries provides a modern style and feeling of warmth.
